Music as a borderline experience that brings people together - that's what moves the musician and person Simon Wallinger.
The one he founded LIENZINGEN Academy as part of the "Musikalischer Sommer" Lienzingen acts as a music laboratory from which innovative program concepts emerge every year.
Trained as a double bass player with Nabil Shehata and Philipp Stubenrauch at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts, he was part of the double bass group of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra from 2018-2020 and played under conductors such as Mariss Jansons, Bernard Haitink, Simon Rattle and Jakub Hrusa.
As a pianist and harpsichordist, he is a passionate chamber music and continuo partner. His teachers included Andreas Grau (GrauSchumacher Piano Duo), Markus Bellheim and Christine Schornsheim (both Munich University of Music).
Since 2021 he has regularly attended international master classes in conducting with Johannes Schlaefli and Douglas Bostock, among others. In 2022 he was celebrating his debut as a conductor with "sueddeutsche kammersinfonie bietigheim".
